It seems that some person with a prolific memory has remembered Jamie from a performance in London West End in 2006 at Her Majesty’s theatre on Haymarket in London which currently houses The Phantom of The Opera.

According to Britain’s Got Talent interview before the show, Jamie was very nervous because he suffered severe stage fright and he had never performed in front of a large crowed which seems to clash with the fact that he did perform in front of around 1,200 people in 2006. After revealing this a shower of critics and bad press has followed the singer from wales.

Some may say that he lied in order to get the sympathy from the public and judges, but the fact is that he performed as part of a group singing “Rod Stewart Medley” at a Sunday night show intended to give new acts their first taste of the limelight.

Performing as a group is not the same as going solo in front of a +3,000 crowd, and according to Jamie, that’s what he meant, he was so nervous because all the attention was going to be focused on him, on his singing and that’s what was causing Jamie’s stage fright. Perhaps we jump too soon to criticize Jamie who might have been really nervous at the moment of the interview to go deep into details.

He is still a very talented man, he still sang beautifully and he may surprise us in the semi final, let’s not crucify him for not being specific.
